AMVirtuo long tube headers replace the restrictive factory manifolds on your 2007-2014 GM full-size truck or SUV. The 1.75" primary tubes flow into a 3" collector, opening up the exhaust path for your 4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L, or 6.2L V8 engine to breathe more efficiently. Less backpressure means stronger acceleration and a more aggressive exhaust note.

These Silverado long tube headers are built entirely from 304-grade stainless steel and fully TIG-welded at every connection point. CNC-flanged mating surfaces guarantee a proper seal at the cylinder head and collector, so you won't be chasing exhaust leaks after installation. The 7/16" head flange and 3/8" outlet flange add rigidity where it matters most.

  • Pre-Installation: Allow the engine and exhaust system to cool completely before beginning work.
  • Gasket Sealing: Use the included gaskets and hardware. Apply anti-seize compound to all studs and bolts for easier future removal.
  • Torque Sequence: Tighten flange bolts in a crisscross pattern to 18-22 ft-lbs to avoid warping the CNC flange.
  • Re-Torque: After the first heat cycle, re-torque all flange bolts. Check again after 500 miles.
  • Clearance: Verify steering shaft, frame rail, and transmission cooler line clearance before final tightening. Minor repositioning of O2 sensor wiring may be needed.

Pro Tip: Spray the factory manifold-to-cat bolts with penetrating oil the night before you plan to install. GM often uses thread-locker from the factory, and these bolts are notorious for snapping if you rush the removal. Take your time, apply steady pressure, and have extractor bits on hand just in case.
